Dear Dick Roche,
It has come to my attention that there is a widespread policy of using herbicide to keep unwanted plant growth in check along roadside verges and public parks and footpaths in County Galway. Quite possibly this extends to other areas of Ireland as well.
I work in the healthcare sector using various methods of detoxification to remove herbicide and pesticide residues, as well as heavy metals, from human tissue and am a victim myself of a herbicide allergy which causes peripheral neuropathy which results in a very extensive loss of feeling in my hands. I have treated both myself and other people and noted the problems that herbicide and pesticide use can cause. I also lived on a property where the landlords frequently sprayed herbicides and noticed that a cat, dog and resident magpie all ended up with tumours and cancer.
These books go far to document many of the potential problems of extensive use of herbicides and pesticides.
I send them in hopes that you will read them carefully and in light of their findings adjust the policy of what is now over-use of dangerous substances in public areas where children and pets frequently play.
Yours sincerely
Clover Kreger
